Easterseals Joliet Region is seeking an experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing therapy team. This is a school-based position working with students to help them develop the skills they need to be successful in the classroom and beyond.

What You'll Do

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will:

  • Provide physical therapy interventions to students based on individualized treatment plans
  • Support students in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and participation in school activities
  • Document student progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the educational team
  • Assist with positioning, adaptive equipment, and mobility recommendations
  • Encourage student independence while making therapy engaging and fun
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional and agency standards

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
  • Previous pediatric and/or school-based experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Passion for helping children reach their fullest potential
