We have immediate openings for part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions!! Preston Heights, Lockport, and  Crest Hill.  

The opportunity to provide direct care services to individuals with disabilities who reside in Easterseals residential homes – no prior experience necessary. However, you must have compassion and the desire to help individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Develop a rapport with consumers and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.
• Provide supervision and guidance for consumers during skill-building activities; assist with goals and objectives.
• Document the implementation of the goals, objectives, and service objectives.
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
• Transport consumers to various activities and appointments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home and its grounds by assisting consumers in cleaning and other household chores as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Illinois' driving requirements with dependable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50pounds.
• Works both independently as well as part of a team.
• Empathetic and supportive with staff, clients, and families.
